"The Robertson family’s passion for the Word is infectious..."

"Duck Dynasty" fans who share the Robertson family's love for the Bible will be in for a treat this October when Thomas Nelson publishers releases, "The Duck Commander Faith and Family Bible," which will feature a mixture of faith testimonies, stories and Bible reading plans.

The Bible, which will be presented in the New King James Version, is set to focus on the family's five core values, which are: faith, family, fellowship, forgiveness and freedom, according to the Oklahoman's Carla Hinton.

Set for an October 28 release, patriarch Phil Robertson and his eldest son Al Robertson are the book's executive editors.

"This is just one more way that we can present, as ministers, the message of Jesus to the world around us," Phil Robertson said in a statement.

In addition to reading plans, the father-and-son duo will also present stories about "how they've seen God transform lives and accomplish his plans for people."

Robert Sanford, vice president and and associate publisher for Thomas Nelson’s Bible Group, praised the family's involvement in the project and the Robertsons' impact on the Christian faith.

"The Robertson family’s passion for the Word is infectious and the impact of their ministry is amazing," Sanford said in the release. "We see this Bible as being something people can grow with in their own personal walk with God."

News of the Bible comes just days after Phil Robertson once again made headlines over recent comments he made about the Republican Party and homosexuality.
