For The Record crews have spent part of the summer working to update some of the show's most-requested stories.

Minnesota Martyrs

This season one episode examined a troubling trend in America's heartland; dozens of young boys from Minnesota have answered the call to jihad and traveled to Somalia to fight alongside terror group Al-Shabaab. Many were killed, including some who acted as suicide bombers.

Now, as conflict has spread across the Middle East, the flood of Minnesota Martyrs has resumed, and it could lead to major national security issues here in the U.S.

In season two, For The Record examined a secret investigation in Wisconsin with significant political overtones. Prosecutors spent years looking into people close to Governor Scott Walker and dozens of conservative political groups, in what the targets felt were politically-motivated attacks. Now a judge has agreed and the tables could turn - leaving those prosecutors on the defensive.

Zero Footprint

In its season two finale, For The Record exposed a secret U.S. government program known as "Zero Footprint" to arm rebels in Libya. That policy ultimately led to the death of Libya's leader, Muammar Gaddafi, but likely also played a role in the 2012 attacks on Benghazi. Now, there's new information about one of the suspected Benghazi attackers and also the U.S. government's response.
