Four Teams in the First College Football Playoff Just Announced

Four Teams in the First College Football Playoff Just Announced

The teams playing in the first College Football Playoff were announced Sunday afternoon.

Here are the teams and their rankings:

No. 1: Alabama

No. 2: Oregon

No. 3: Florida State

No. 4: Ohio State

The top four seeds will play in the Sugar and Rose Bowls on Jan. 1, with No. 1 Alabama tackling No. 4 Ohio State in New Orleans and No. 2 Oregon playing No. 3 Florida State in Pasadena, California.

The winners of those games will face off in the national championship on Jan. 12 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Close but no cigars: Baylor and TCU finished with spots No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
