The Top 10 Movies of 2014, According to Facebook

Comedies, horrors, action-packed adventures and dramas – a number of movies caught Americans' attention this year and as we prepare to say goodbye to 2014 and hello to 2015, it's time once again to "let it go."

The popular Disney animation "Frozen" took the number 1 spot on the list. But the story lines of classic turtles who love pizza, childhood building blocks brought to life and a world in which any crime is permissible also made the top 10.

So before you break out the champaign and party hats this New Years Eve, take a look at the 10 movies that defined America in 2014, according to Facebook:

Facebook released its annual ranking of this year's top 10 movies Tuesday in its much-anticipated Year In Review page, which ranks a number of items according to the social media giant.

“At the end of each year, we reflect. We remember challenges and triumphs. We celebrate the moments that connect us,” Facebook’s Year in Review page reads. "Together, let’s make 2015 amazing."
