Bus Driver Protects Kids From Deranged Woman Trying to Get on Bus: ‘I’m Not Asking You, I’m Moving You\

"Nobody that doesn’t have permission is going to get above that top step."

No one gets past the top step of Dave Cooke's school bus without his permission.

And KHOU-TV reported that he made that very clear to a deranged woman earlier this week when she tried to board a Crosby Independent School District bus in Texas as the driver of six years was about to drop students off.

"You cannot come on my bus," Cooke could be heard saying in surveillance video from the bus, as students shuffled around and looked out the window.

Someone outside the bus — it's unclear if it was the woman or another parent — yelled "get out" several times. Someone else said the woman was "scaring" the kids on the bus.

Watch the footage posted by the Houston Chronicle:

Cooke told the news station that she looked angry.

"She looked at me and she says, 'I'm going to bite you," he recalled. "And her eyes were about two inches in diameter at the time and she was wailing her arms around."

Then, Cooke and a parent at the bus stop forcibly removed the woman, pulling her by the ankles KHOU reported.

"You are leaving my bus. I'm not asking you, I'm moving you," Cooke said.

“I made the decision that nobody that doesn’t have permission is going to get above that top step no matter what it takes,” he added to KHOU.

A Facebook post from the school district said that the woman, who was detained until the authorities came, was a "random lady" who was "not associated with anyone on his route." No further word on any charges or what the woman was after in trying to board the bus.

Cooke is being called a hero for his actions.

"He brings back my child in one piece, a happy piece," a mother KTRK-TV only identified by her first name, Heather, said. "He did exactly what every parent would want their school bus driver to do to keep their kids safe. So I'm very thankful for Mr. Cooke."
