Newly Uncovered Video Reveals Diplomat Admitting Clinton and Her Aides Shared Info on Blackberries That 'Would Never Be on an Unclassified System

"It has changed the way diplomacy is done."

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her aides shared information that "would never be on an unclassified system" normally, according to an old video of former diplomat Wendy Sherman.

"Now we have BlackBerrys, and it has changed the way diplomacy is done," Sherman said during a speech in 2013. "Things appear on your BlackBerrys that would never be on an unclassified system, but you're out traveling, you're trying to negotiate something. You want to communicate with people. It's the fastest way to do it."

Sherman served as an undersecretary of state at the time of the speech to diplomats at the State Department's "Foreign Affairs Day 2013" — which was recorded on camera and obtained by Fox News. During her remarks, Sherman recalled when Clinton met with Lady Ashton of the European Union and both used their phones to conduct Middle East peace negotiations.

"So they sat there, as they were having the meeting with their BlackBerrys, transferring language back and forth between them and between their aides to multitask in a quite a new fashion," Sherman said in the video. "To have the meeting and at the same time be working on the Quartet statement."

According to emails released by the State Department, Clinton did receive a forwarded email in 2011 from aide Jake Sullivan that contained information on the Quartet statement. The State Department has since declared some of those emails to be classified and has redacted portions of those emails when released to the public, according to Fox News.

Clinton's use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state has been a point of contention for the Democratic presidential candidate as she has maintained that she did not break any rules.

According to Real Clear Politics' aggregated polling data, Democratic presidential candidate Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has a 14.6-point lead over Clinton in New Hampshire and is closing in on her in Iowa ahead of the Feb. 1 caucuses. In Iowa, Clinton is polling at 46.0 percent, and Sanders is polling at 45.4 percent.
