News Station 'Flooded With Calls From Concerned Viewers' Over What They Saw in Background During Live Report

Authorities have yet to announce if there's any connection between the suspect and the victim.

Viewers inundated a local Arizona news station with calls saying they saw a man slap a wheelchair-bound woman during a live report Monday.

KPNX-TV said its newsroom was “flooded with calls from concerned viewers” who saw the disturbing scene.

KPNX's Joe Dana, who was hosting the live shot, later reported the man seen in the live report was arrested. Authorities have yet to announce if there's any connection between the suspect and the victim.
