A dog's favorite toy was a stuffed Santa Claus. See what happened when it met the real deal.

The photo of a dog who got to meet a life-sized version of its favorite toy has gone viral.

Siblings John and Angelina Montaldo told ABC News last week that their 1-year-old Shiba Inu pup named Kya absolutely loved the Santa Claus stuffed toy they got her last year.

"Last year we got her [a Santa toy] at the dollar store when we first got her," John told ABC. "She just always liked that one and bit his beard and stuff."

So when the siblings heard that a nearby mall in Orlando, Florida, was offering pets the ability to take pictures with Santa, they jumped at the chance. What they left with was an amazing photo.

"Once she first saw him, she was getting really excited," John told ABC. "She was super calm and looking at him amazed."

The siblings decided to tweet the photo of their excited dog, but told ABC they never expected it to go viral like it did. As of Tuesday afternoon, the tweet has garnered nearly 90,000 retweets and more than 150,000 likes.
