Liberal comedian Chelsea Handler mocked Eric Trump's pregnant wife — now Don Jr. is hitting back

Donald Trump Jr., son of President Donald Trump, is hitting back at liberal comedian Chelsea Handler after Handler mocked Eric Trump's pregnant wife, Lara Trump, on Twitter.

On Monday, Eric and Lara announced on Twitter that they are expecting their first child, a boy due to be delivered in September.

While most people responded to the news with "congratulations," Handler took a much different approach. She fired up her Twitter account to blast the announcement, lamenting that another person with Trump genes — though she misspelled genes as "jeans" — is "just what we need."

"I guess one of @realDonaldTrump's sons is expecting a new baby. Just what we need. Another person with those jeans . Let's hope for a girl," Handler tweeted.

Eric's older brother, Donald Jr., did not take too kindly to the remarks. In response to Handler, Donald Jr. mocked the liberal comedian while noting that the "party of tolerance" — which the Democratic Party positions themselves as — is only tolerant of people with their same views.

He wrote on Facebook:

The liberal elite's real hatred is hopefully starting to be apparent to mainstream America. (both right and left) Their whole "party of tolerance" nonsense only applies if you fully buy into their dogma, and when you don't their true colors shine. Attacking the announcement of someone's first pregnancy would seem below the belt to most, but sadly that's no longer the case. As to the "hoping it's a girl" comment, I wonder if she knows that said "jeans" (aka genes) are passed from the same people whether it's a girl or a boy??? Based on what I've seen ... probably not. "BTW: Congrats Eric and Lara! See how easy that is?" he added.

Handler later apologized for her misspelling of the word "genes," but she refused to apologize to the Trumps for her comments.

"Sorry about spelling mistake. I meant 'genes,' not 'jeans.' I'm a little stoned. What's your excuse?" Handler said.
