Stephen Colbert eviscerates Donald Trump in vulgar, insult-laden network TV rant
May 02, 2017
Late-night host Stephen Colbert went on the offensive Monday night over President Donald Trump's "CBS This Morning" interview with John Dickerson — an interview that Trump cut abruptly short when questioned about his claims that the Obama administration "wiretapped" Trump Tower during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Attacking the President over his treatment of the "fair-minded" journalist, Colbert slammed the president in a series of escalating insults based on his looks, his policies, and his purported relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"John Dickerson has way too much dignity to trade insults with the president of the United States to his face," Colbert said, gearing up for his tirade. "But I, sir, am no John Dickerson.
"When you insult one member of the CBS family, you insult us all," Colbert began. "Bazinga!"
"Mr. Trump, your presidency — I love your presidency," he said, launching into the rant. "I call it 'Disgrace the Nation.' You're not the POTUS — you're the BLOTUS. You're the glutton with the button. You're a regular 'Gorge' Washington. You're the presi-dunce, but you're turning into a real prick-tator.
"Sir," he continued, "you attract more skinheads than free Rogaine."
At this point, Colbert was only halfway through, and it only got worse.
"You have more people marching against you than cancer," he said. "You talk like a sign language gorilla who got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin's c**k holster."
"Your presidential library is gonna be a kids menu and a couple of 'Jugs' magazines," Colbert continued. "The only thing smaller than your hands is your tax returns. And you can take that any way you want."
The internet reaction to Colbert's Trump takedown was not very positive. Some Twitter users even called the late-night host's rant a "fireable offense."
This would be a fireable offense in better times. Worst thing about many Trump critics is they use him as an excuse to act as awful or worse https://t.co/7kIsJYHVnn

@BecketAdams Trump's greatest political asset is that he brings out the worst in his political opponents.

@BecketAdams @ReaganBattalion Trump hating is accepted by the left media and had Hussein Obama gotten some of that it would have been calls for resignations and racism

@msgoddessrises @Mr_JamesLandis @BecketAdams For not being a journalist he sure tries hard to act like he is with his non stop political coverage.

@BecketAdams @benshapiro Can you imagine the hail storm if a person on network tv had said this same thing about Obama?

@BecketAdams CBS should be ashamed.
