Bill O'Reilly launches exclusive webcast similar to 'O'Reilly Factor

Bill O'Reilly launched a new 30-minute nightly video series called "No Spin News Video" on his website Wednesday that is exclusive to paid subscribers. Non-paying viewers can catch the video the following day when it's released to the general public, Huffington Post reported.

Shortly after his ouster from Fox News, O'Reilly began recording a daily podcast, "No Spin News," for his subscribers.

In a statement on his website, O'Reilly explained that the show is an "experiment" and that he wants feedback from viewers:

Today we are starting an experiment, and we are seeking your feedback.  This evening only Premium Members will see a new prototype production of the No Spin News and we will release that same prototype to the rest tomorrow in the hope we will recruit new PM's to our surging crew. We look forward to your feedback.

The format of the show is similar to "The O'Reilly Factor," which ran on Fox News for more than 20 years.

The first episode focused on President Donald Trump's "fire and fury" remarks on North Korea and California's desire to secede from the union.

O'Reilly's first guests were radio and TV host Michael Smerconish and syndicated columnist Ruben Navarrette.

"North Korea has been a pain in the butt for decades," O'Reilly said.

As for Trump, the host said, "He's not going to take any guff from North Korea, but he's not going to do anything unilaterally," Reuters reported.

During an Aug. 3 podcast, O'Reilly admitted he may struggle to get his older fans to move to online streaming, Salon reported. The question becomes: Will O'Reilly's younger, more tech-savvy fans pay to hear his opinions?

“I suspect he’ll attract a sizable audience,” Smerconish told The Hollywood Reporter. “Passion sells.”

A yearly membership to O'Reilly's website — billoreilly.com — is $54.95.

According to Reuters, "The O'Reilly Factor" was the most-watched prime-time cable news program in history with an average nightly viewership of 4 million. He was with Fox News for 20 years before being fired in April amid sexual harassment allegations.
