Actress declares that her 'first abortion' at age 19 was 'my best one.' And the audience loves it.

Actress and outspoken abortion advocate Martha Plimpton ("The Goonies" and a host of TV shows) proudly told a Seattle audience that she got her "first abortion" at age 19 from a Seattle Planned Parenthood and that it was her "best" abortion.

“Seattle has some particular significance for me for lots of reasons," the gravelly voiced Plimpton told the #ShoutYourAbortion audience gathered at the city's Town Hall. “I've got a lot of family here, some of whom are here in the audience tonight. I also had my first abortion here at the Seattle Planned Parenthood!"

Plimpton, 46, followed that declaration with a loud “Yay!" as she triumphantly stretched her arm skyward. The crowd responded with wild cheering, as heard on the June video that's only just surfaced in the news.

And Plimpton wasn't done.

“Notice I said 'first.' I said 'first,'" she quickly added, seemingly trying to underscore an affinity for the-more-the-merrier when it comes to abortion. "And I don't want Seattle — I don't want you guys to feel insecure, it was my best one."

Her quip elicited laughter from the audience.

“Heads and tails above the rest," she went on about her abortion. “If I could Yelp review it, I totally would. And if that doctor's here tonight, I don't remember you at all, I was 19. I was 19, but I thank you nonetheless."

Onstage with Plimpton — and clapping and laughing in response to her strident statements — was Dr. Willie Parker, a self-proclaimed Christian and well-known abortion provider and advocate who discussed his views with the actress.

“When physicians say as a matter of conscience that they don't provide abortions, that's fine because you shouldn't do anything that you can't do conscientiously," Parker said at one point. “But if you fail to refer that person on, you're now doing harm because you didn't help but now you're not getting her to the service that she needs."

At the end of their chat — which received a wild standing ovation — came a Q&A session in which pro-life advocates were attacked. The first question, which Plimpton chose, dealt with how to convince "antis" that abortion isn't murder.

“The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open," Parker replied, referring to the thinking process of pro-life folks. He added that "a fetus is not a person" and that "if you really believe that abortion is murder, call 911 and see if the police will come to an abortion clinic."

Big laughs and applause were again in abundance.

Parker later told the crowd that “I've never killed a baby. I've ended pregnancies, but I've never killed a baby."

The doctor also made headlines in January after attending a Planned Parenthood clinic opening in Washington, D.C., that was blessed by local clergy.

“Women have been made to think that this [clinic] is some evil place, where God is not," Parker said at the opening. He added that people often respond to abortion by “cursing [women] for making sacred decisions. Our answer to the curse is to bless."
