Mother arrested after video featuring 1-year-old baby smoking pot goes viral

Police arrested a North Carolina mother after a video featuring her 1-year-old child smoking what appeared to be marijuana went viral.
What are the details?
According to a Raleigh Police Department statement, Brianna Ashanti Lofton, 20, was charged with two counts of felony child abuse, contributing to delinquency, and possession of marijuana.
Lofton was taken to the the Wake County Detention Center, and the child was placed in the custody of Wake County Child Protective Services.
Lofton reportedly shared the video on Facebook on Wednesday.
Newsweek reported that the video was viewed more than 1 million times and became the subject of outrage and concern.
According to the outlet, several social media users even came forward in helping to identify Lofton.
"We appreciate the public's help in this matter," RPD Lieutenant Jason Hodge said in a statement. "We welcome and encourage any assistance the public is willing to give us at all times."
WRAL-TV reported that the video was filmed around December or January.
The Raleigh Police Department, on their Facebook page, wrote, "Big thanks to everyone who posted information about the smoking mother and baby. Thanks to your willingness to get involved, the child is now safe and the mother is in police custody."
