“Activist Mommy” Elizabeth Johnston says that comprehensive sex education in schools is warping the minds of children, and LGBT groups are partially to blame.

Johnston, a mother of 10 home-schooled children, is so irate over the notion that public schools could begin teaching what she considers reckless sexual behaviors and inclusive gender studies that she’s attempting to launch a nationwide protest — “Sex Ed Sit-Out” — against the program to take place on April 23.

What is she saying?

In a Facebook video that’s received more than 400,000 views, Johnston blasted LGBT groups, which she feels are partially responsible for advancing an anti-family agenda in public schools and corrupting the developing minds of young students.

Speaking with conservative Christian nonprofit group Family Research Council, Johnston said she could scarcely understand why any parents wouldn’t support the protest.

“If you are not a rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth leftist liberal who wants to pervert the minds of children, everyone should be able to support supporting this sit out,” she explained.

“We’re the taxpayers, we’re the parents, you don’t know our children, and you’re not allowed to rape the minds of our children with this pornographic material,” she added.

Johnston later went on to describe precisely what may end up being taught in schools if these groups get their way, saying that children are being taught “how to have anal and oral sex, masturbate one another, and question their gender.”

The campaign also rails against “graphic, gender-bending, promiscuity-promoting sex education” for children.

“Would you believe that special interest groups like the Human Rights Campaign, a radical, leftist LGBT organisation, and Planned Parenthood are working in concert together and sneaking into the schools, claiming to be abstinence-only education?” she asked, noting that parents simply don’t realize this manipulation is taking place.

“This is outrageous,” she said, “and we aren’t going to stand for it. Our kids’ innocence is not for sale.”

At this time, 24 U.S. states and the District of Columbia require sex education. Thirteen states require the education to be medically accurate.

What about the protest?

Johnston, who has more than 500,000 Facebook fans, is now promoting a “Sex Ed Sit-Out” in an attempt to demonstrate against teaching “sexuality and sexual orientation” in public schools.

Johnston is asking parents to keep their kids out of schools on April 23 in solidarity with this movement.

The protest’s webpage also features a petition for supporters of the event to sign. At the time of this writing, the petition has received more than 20,000 signatures.
