Breaking: Michael Cohen breaks his silence about FBI raids

Michael Cohen, the longtime personal lawyer and friend to President Trump, broke his silence about the FBI raids targeting his home and residence on Monday.

Here's what he said

In an interview on CNN Tuesday with Don Lemon, Cohen related what happened when the FBI served a warrant at his office and his hotel room residence.

"I am unhappy to have my personal residence and office raided," he said to Lemon. "But I will tell you that members of the FBI that conducted the search and seizure were all extremely professional, courteous, and respectful."

Don Lemon said that Cohen told him he believed everything he did in respect to the Stormy Daniels affair was legal and it will be proven to be so in the end.

When asked if he was worried about the investigation, he responded, "I would be lying to you if I told that I am not."

"Do I need this in my life? No," Cohen added. "Do I want to be involved in this? No."

Here's video of Don Lemon talking about his interview with Cohen:

CNN tried to set off Cohen's comments that the FBI agents against Trump's characterization on Monday of the search and seizure.

"So I just heard that they broke into the office one of my personal attorneys, good man," the president said. "And it’s a disgraceful situation, it’s a total witch hunt, I’ve been saying it for a long time.”

"This is war"

Bill Kristol, a conservative critic of Trump, said on Monday after the raid that it was an escalation of the battle between Mueller and the president.

“But this is war,” Kristol said. “I believe this shows that we are very close now to the endgame.”

“You do not go bust in,” he added, “get a judge to give you a warrant to search the president’s personal lawyer’s office unless you think you are close to the end of this, you are getting important information. The president is now going to war against him. If the president has ever thought about trying to fire Mueller or pardon people, this is the moment where it goes to the very front of his mind.”
