Trump names his Dem. dream opponent for 2020 election during CBS interview

President Donald Trump said that his dream opponent for the 2020 presidential election is none other than former Vice President Joe Biden.

What did he say?

During a recent interview with CBS Evening News anchor Jeff Glor, Trump indicated that he felt he would have zero problem defeating Biden in a potential 2020 presidential matchup.

In a 2020-related question, Glor asked the president, "Who do you think your Democratic opponent will be? Joe Biden says he'll make a decision by January."

Trump responded that a Biden-Trump matchup would be a "dream."

"Well, I dream, I dream about Biden," Trump responded in the interview — a portion of which was published on Thursday. "That's a dream. Look, Joe Biden ran three times. He never got more than 1 percent and President Obama took him out of the garbage heap, and everybody was shocked that he did."

Trump added that he'd love for the Democratic presidential candidate to be Biden.

"Biden never by himself could never do anything," Trump said. "President Obama took him, made him vice president and he was fine. But you go back and look at how he succeeded in running, when he ran two or three times, I don't think he ever break — broke one. He was at the one or less level, 1 percent or less level."

Anything else?

Trump and Biden most recently butted heads in March, when the former vice president said that he'd have "beat the hell out of" Trump if they were in high school together.

Biden made the remarks during a student rally against sexual assault and gender-based violence, while pointing to Trump's infamous 2005 "Access Hollywood" tape and "locker room" talk at large.

Trump would later fire back at Biden's comments on Twitter, saying, "Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy. Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesn’t know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Don’t threaten people Joe!"
