UPDATED at 3:37 p.m. ET: Story was updated to include information about the number of victims, the suspect, and details provided during the 3 p.m. news conference.

At least four are dead and several others are injured after a woman shot multiple people Thursday morning at a Rite Aid distribution center in Aberdeen, Maryland.

The suspect is among those dead, Harford County Sheriff Jeff Gahler said Thursday afternoon during a news conference. The suspect's identity has not been revealed.

The suspect shot herself in the head in an apparent suicide attempt. It was unsuccessful, so she shot herself again, according to CNN.

Gahler said the suspect was taken into custody and transported to a hospital where she later died.

No shots were fired by law enforcement.

Three others died from gunshot wounds and three more were injured. The identities of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family members.

The victims were transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore and Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. The condition of those injured is not immediately known.

The investigation is ongoing but police believe there is no further danger to the community.

What do we know so far?

Authorities received a 911 call at 9:09 a.m. ET that shots were fired at the facility in Harford County.

The suspect, who worked as a temporary worker, reported for work, as usual, Gahler said.

The suspect, who was outside at the time, began shooting. She proceeded inside the building where she continued firing a 9 mm Glock handgun, Gahler said.

Police arrived on the scene within five minutes of the call.

Multiple law enforcement agencies including the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, Aberdeen police, and Bel Air police are assisting with the investigation.

About 1,000 employees work at the warehouse, Rite Aid spokeswoman Susan Henderson told CNN.

What was her motive?

A motive has not been determined, Gahler said.

Where can employees' family members get information?

Authorities have set up a family reunification center at the Level Fire House at 3633 Level Village Road in Havre de Grace.

The Harford County Information Hotline has been activated in the Emergency Operations Center, according to WJZ-TV. Family members and loved ones can call 410-838-5800 for information.

What else?

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan tweeted that his office is monitoring events and is ready to offer support.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
