ABC chief legal analyst and Mediaite founder to launch Christian sermon streaming network

Dan Abrams, Mediaite founder and ABC chief legal analyst, has announced that he will launch a Christian sermon streaming network come November.

What are the details?

The new platform will be called Ambo TV, which is a synonym for "pulpit," according to The Hill.

Ambo's mission is "dedicated to broadcasting Christian sermons with an in-studio discussion."

According to the company, "The live programming rollout is scheduled for November with simultaneous back-to-back live sermons airing Saturdays and Sundays and featuring a lineup of high-profile partners such as Victory Church of Tulsa, OK and the multi-site Fresh Life Church, led by pastor and best-selling author, Levi Lusko."

The statement continued, noting that the platform has plans to expand to weekdays instead of just Saturdays and Sundays.

"The network will be hosted out of the newly built Abrams Media studios in Herald Square in New York City, and viewers will be able to engage with other viewers in a live-chat feature through the programs," the statement continued.

Brooke Girley, who received a M.A.R. from Yale Divinity School, as well as a B.A. from New York University in religious studies and a law degree from Duke University School of Law, will lead the network.

In a statement, Girley said, "An inspirational network for younger Christians is long overdue. Ambo TV will allow viewers to watch compelling sermons, in real time, from pastors of my generation and discuss them with other viewers from around the world."

"This is the type of network many of us have been waiting for, and I'm thrilled to be a part of creating it," she added.

According to a report on Mediaite's own site, the network is planning to focus on a "millennial Christian audience."

The Ambo TV site is live. You can preview what's to come here.
