That's taking the nickname game up a notch. President Trump just tweeted about Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who was on ABC's This Week Sunday morning discussing acting Attorny General Whitaker and Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe.
Trump has used nicknames in the past, from Little Marco to Crooked Hillary, but this is the first semi-curse word -- curse-word adjacent? vulgarity homonym? -- he's used, and it won't be surprising if it gets deleted.
So look while you can:
Trump's appointment of Whitaker, a long-time strong critic of the Russia investigation, has been a sore subject in D.C., and he discussed it in his interview with Chris Wallace for FOX News Sunday, which aired today.
In Trump's interview, he said several times he had no intention of interfering with decisions made by Whitaker as regards the Mueller probe, but he also said of the probe itself "I think we’ve wasted enough time on this witch hunt and the answer is probably, we’re finished."
Schiff, who is likely the next chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, told George Stephanopoulos on Sunday that Democrats will be challenging Whitaker's appointment. "I think the appointment is unconstitutional," he said, citing the fact that the appointment was not approved by the Senate.
