Video journalist who targeted Steven Crowder and Tucker Carlson reportedly leaving Vox Media

"It's monsters all the way down."

The video journalist who orchestrated an online outrage mob against BlazeTV host Steven Crowder and Fox News host Tucker Carlson is reportedly leaving Vox Media.

Carlos Maza, whose Twitter screen name is "GayWonk," is leaving the news outlet that provided him with the platform to target conservatives and supporters of President Donald Trump.

The development was first reported at the New York Post.

According to their sources, Vox was initially supportive of Maza's online harassment campaigns, but the outlet balked as he escalated his war against the right.

Maza's campaign against Steven Crowder was partly successful because he forced YouTube to demonetize his channel. But Maza was angrily disappointed and demanded nothing less than a permanent suspension of the BlazeTV host and comedic YouTube personality.

He has also targeted Carlson, at one point tweeting, "Cannot stress this enough: Tucker Carlson is the face of modern white nationalism on cable news."

"I keep trying to think of a smart 'take' about this Tucker Carlson stuff and I'm just at a loss," he tweeted in March.

"He's monstrous, what he said was monstrous, his defenders are monstrous, and Fox News doesn't care because they have no ethical standards," he added. "It's monsters all the way down."

The Post said one source told them Maza is negotiating a severance package.
