Firefighters battle intense house fire. Area boy is on hand to reward them with ice cream sandwiches.

A young boy can be credited for helping busy firefighters to cool off after a summer blaze.
The boy and his family also brought fans to help the firefighters cool off after battling the fire, which took place in July.
What are the details?
The young boy visited the site of the house fire and handed out Giant-brand ice cream sandwiches.
The Baltimore County Fire Department shared a photo of the moving gesture.
The post read, "This young man provided ice cream sandwiches to #BCoFD crews working a #Fullerton house fire on a recent hot summer day. His family also brought out a fan to help firefighters cool off. #gratitude #community."
At the time of this writing, the Facebook post has been shared more than 500 times.
A bevy of people on social media reacted to the post, applauding the boy and his family for their good deed.
A spokesperson for the fire company issued a statement expressing its gratitude.
"We never cease to be touched and amazed by the support from our communities," department spokesperson Elise Armacost said. "It's gratifying to know that people appreciate our work."
