Hallmark drops Lori Loughlin over college bribery scandal, and her daughter loses deal with Sephora

Actress Lori Loughlin has been dropped from by the Hallmark cable channel after she was charged in a massive college bribery scandal, and her daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli has also lost a deal with cosmetics company Sephora.

The nationwide college admissions cheating scam involved dozens of people who were allegedly involved in orchestrating bribes in order to aide the children of the wealthy and privileged to be accepted to prestigious colleges.

Loughlin was busted for allegedly bribing officials to get her daughter accepted into the University of Southern California.

Officials said the operation was the "largest college admissions scam ever prosecuted by the Department of Justice."

In a statement on Thursday, Hallmark said it was "saddened" by the charges and indicated that the company was cutting ties with Loughlin.

The actress, who is best known for her role on "Full House," was a prominent and popular part of the Hallmark network.

Her 19-year-old daughter also lost a deal with cosmetics company Sephora. She is a social media influencer with millions of followers.

In one video much ridiculed by detractors online, Giannulli laughs at her disinterest in academics at the college.

"I don't know how much of school I'm going to attend," Giannulli laughed. "I do want the experience of game days, partying; I don't really care about school, as you guys know."

USC said it was investigating her enrollment at the school, as well as other students who might have been involved in the bribery scam.
