Twitter erupts in hatred against actor Chris Pratt after latest Marvel superhero trailer is released

Social media erupted in hatred against actor Chris Pratt after he made an appearance in a trailer for the latest superhero movie from Marvel Studios.

Some people have made it a hobby to assail the actor with hatred because he is a professing Christian and sometimes expresses pro-family views they find controversial.

Pratt appeared in a backup role as the character Star-Lord in "Thor: Love and Thunder," the latest in the Thor superhero movie franchise.

Much of the hatred is centered around a scene where it was implied that the Thor character had romantic feelings for the Star-Lord character. Many assumed that Pratt would have hated the scene because he's a Christian.

"WOKE UP TO NEWS ABT THOR so glad to see its gay i hope piss pratt had the worst f***ing time of his entire life," read one popular tweet.

"Have never watched a single marvel movie but i will be watching thor love and thunder solely because i want to see chris pratt visibly hold back slurs while taika waititi puts him in the gayest s*** ever in HD," said one hater.

"When I found out chris Pratt was republican and homophobic I cried but years later fast forward to now I’m so happy his star lord has to be subtly gay with Thor. I just Chris Pratt is feeling suicidal," read another tweet.

"The way we could be getting bi thor and peter and it all feels delicious because this means chris pratt's homophobic ass probably hated himself on set," said another critic.

The previous hatred against Pratt has been so bizarre that it prompted podcast superstar Joe Rogan to defend the actor.

“What it is is a bully pile-on,” Rogan said on his podcast in December. “You see someone being vulnerable and you can snipe at them and you don’t have any repercussions and they’re not in front of you so you attack the guy.”

"Thor: Love and Thunder" will be released in theaters on July 8.
