Joe Rogan and Tulsi Gabbard blast 'wokeism,' leftist 'hypocrisy,' and insane woke school 'litter box' story

Podcast superstar Joe Rogan shared an insane story about identity ideology run amok and a school that purportedly accommodated a girl student who identifies as a cat by placing a litter box in the restroom.

On the latest episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience," which featured former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Rogan related a story that's similar to other viral internet claims about kids who identify as "furries."

"My friend, his wife is a schoolteacher. And she works at a school that had to install a litter box in the girls' room because there's a girl who is a furry, who identifies as an animal," Rogan told Gabbard.

"Oh my goodness," she exclaimed.

"And her mother," Rogan continued, "badgered the school until they agreed to put a litter box in one of the stalls. So this girl goes into the litter room, or into the girls' room, and urinates, or whatever, I don't know if she poops in it. That's pretty gross."

After a brief digression on how the worst thing about cats is cleaning the litter box, Rogan railed against the idea that a school would accommodate a student who identifies as an animal.

"Imagine how crazy that is!" Rogan said. "You're a f***ing human being and you prefer a litter box. You want to s*** into a pile of sand rather than use a bathroom that you can flush the toilet — wipe yourself like a normal person. Like, you're so crazy with what you think an animal is that not only you've said this, but you've conned the school into putting this f***ing litter box in a girls' room. Which is bananas!"

"It is," Gabbard agreed.

The story Rogan shared is similar to other rumors about schools placing litter boxes in bathrooms that have gone viral on the internet but that have not been substantiated. School officials in Wisconsin and New York, among other districts nationwide that have faced such claims, have vigorously denied them and characterized the rumors as a hoax or urban myth.

But Republicans running in this year's midterm elections — such as gubernatorial candidates Scott Jensen of Minnesota or Heidi Ganahl of Colorado — have advanced the claims as part of a broader pushback against transgender ideology in schools.

Rogan also discussed "wokeism" with Gabbard, who announced this week that she has left the Democratic Party in a blistering statement. She said that the "hypocrisy" of far-left progressives pushed her away from the Democrats, recalling how she was attacked for not showing up at the Women's March after President Donald Trump was elected.

"The irony is, here we are, sitting now with a lot of these same people who are like, 'Oh, I don’t know how to define a woman, and there is no such thing as a woman,’” Gabbard told Rogan. “All of these examples point to the hypocrisy, the fact that they don’t believe in truth, and that whatever their cause of the moment is whatever they decide is the truth and the thing that must be measured against for you. Like, you are either with us or you're against us, and if you are with us, you've got to prove your zealousness for the cause.”

Rogan agreed and credited Daily Wire host Matt Walsh with exposing the ridiculousness of woke gender ideology with a documentary that asked, "What is a woman?"

“I mean, with wokeness, you can identify as a woman, you get to use the female restroom. Like, OK, but what is it? What’s a woman? You know, can a man get pregnant?” Rogan asked rhetorically. “Okay, well, what is it, can a biological male get pregnant? And then people panic, and they start, ‘The people that identify as a woman are capable of being pregnant, and people that identify as a male are capable of also being pregnant.’ Like, what are you saying?”

“You know, you’re marching for women’s rights. But what does that mean? So, if I decide I’m a woman, and I go out, you’re marching for me? I’m a woman now? You can just say it? We can’t have that, that doesn’t make sense,” Rogan continued. “And it doesn’t mean you can’t have trans people. It doesn’t mean that … you’re not denying anyone’s existence either — they exist. However, if you want to be pregnant, you must be a biological female. This is science.”

Rogan and Gabbard agreed Walsh's documentary is "amazing."

“That’s what was so powerful about that documentary was both Matt Walsh’s demeanor and, frankly, his respect with whoever he was questioning, and the spectrum of people that he spoke to on this, from psychiatrists, physiologists, doctors, professors, and even a woman who transitioned hormonally to become a man, like, crying on camera,” Gabbard said.

“That’s the problem in this country,” Rogan responded. “You know, everyone wants to talk about representation. Here’s what’s not represented at all in the mainstream media: people that have had a horrible experience having a gender transition surgery and regretted it.”
