Larry Kudlow caught on hot mic shouting profanities on Fox News over accusations from Kamala Harris

'Unbelievable falsehoods'

Editor's note: This post has been updated to include a correction to indicate that Kudlow's show is on the Fox News Business network. Additionally, a statement from Kudlow has been included in an update.

Former Trump official Larry Kudlow was caught on a hot mic issuing angry expletives against an accusation from Vice President Kamala Harris against his former administration.

The humorous moment was broadcast Tuesday on "America Reports."

Kudlow was responding to comments from Harris falsely accusing the previous administration of leaving no plan for supplying vaccinations for Americans against the coronavirus pandemic.

"In many ways, we're starting from scratch, on something that's been raging for almost an entire year!" said Harris on the clip from "Axios on HBO."

"Bulls***! Bulls***!" Kudlow said emphatically before his microphone appeared to be briefly cut. "Unbelievable falsehoods."

"And that is Larry Kudlow weighing in," said Fox News co-host Sandra Smith.

The clip was widely circulated on Twitter:

Kudlow made the comments before hosting his own show on Fox News Business for the first time since leaving the White House.

What's the truth?

The Biden administration has made the false claim before Harris latched onto it, but it has been debunked by numerous news outlets, and even by coronavirus task force director Dr. Anthony Fauci.

"We're certainly not starting from scratch, because there is activity going on in the distribution," Fauci said in January.

"I mean we're coming in with fresh ideas, but also some ideas with ... the previous administration. You can't say it was absolutely not usable at all," he added.

The claim had been leaked to CNN from anonymous sources from within the Biden administration, but it has been repeated over and over despite being debunked numerous times.

President Joe Biden was even caught lashing out at a reporter who pointed out the vaccination plan from the previous administration was moving at such a rapid pace that Biden's less-than-ambitious vaccination goal would be easily attained.

In a statement on his show, Kudlow apologized for using a curse word on air.

Earlier on FOX News Channel, I made some comments about that clip. You might have read about it, if not, you could Google it. I may have said a bad word. I'm not usually a guy who swears, but what the Vice President said just burned me up and is simply not true, OK? It is somewhere between cognitive dissonance and an outright falsehood lie. And we generated- we, the Trump administration, not everything went perfectly. I sat on the Task Force. Operation Warp Speed was one of our greatest triumphs. And by the time of the inauguration, January 20th, the Trump efforts were generating 1.3 million vaccines per day. And as I may have mentioned earlier, right now, the total volume of vaccines exceeds the total volume of cases. And don't tell me they started from scratch. That is simply wrong.

Again, for the third time on this program - I apologize for using a swear word on another show…of course, I am colorfully on the record what I think about what Vice President Kamala Harris said. I said a bad word. I didn't mean to. I am not going to do it again. Look, Dr. Fauci is a friend of mine. Nobody is always right. I served on the Task Force with him. He was our leader with Dr. Deborah Birx for a year. Now again, the Trump approach was not error free. You have armchair generals. This kind of pandemic, unseen, unforeseen. Nothing is going to be perfect.
