Man arrested after leaving Kohl’s job interview — for stealing Christmas gifts on his way out

The lengths to which some people will go for the ultimate Christmas present

A Florida man who had just interviewed at a local Kohl's was arrested for reportedly stealing two pairs of shoes on his way out of the store.

Come on, really?

Yes, really.

Authorities arrested Dominick Breedlove, 24, after he reportedly stole two pairs of women's shoes from the store at which he'd just interviewed for a position.

Needless to say, Breedlove didn't get the job.

Breedlove is facing charges for retail theft, according to WFTS-TV. He reportedly didn't realize that he was being monitored on his way out of the store, as he allegedly sought out shoes without any security tags.

He reportedly found what he was looking for, but exited the building before carrying out his master plan. Breedlove reportedly went to his car and grabbed an empty Kohl's shopping bag and re-entered the store.

When he got back inside, he reportedly took two pairs of Nike sneakers — valued around $150 — and placed them in the empty shopping bag.

He then left the store to head to his car. Deputies were there waiting for him, according to the station. Authorities arrested him and took him into custody at the Hernando County Detention Center in Brooksville, Florida. Breedlove's bond was set at $500.

When questioned by authorities, Breedlove said that he had planned to gift the shoes to his mother for Christmas.
