Music video co-star accuses Katy Perry of sexual misconduct: 'Culture is set on proving men of power are perverse' — 'females with power are just as disgusting'

Yikes

Male model Josh Kloss, who starred alongside Katy Perry in her 2010 "Teenage Dream" video, has accused the award-winning singer of sexual misconduct.

Kloss said that Perry yanked his pants open to show off his genitalia during a group event at a Los Angeles roller skating rink that same year.

What are the details?

Kloss said he ultimately lamented his decision to appear in the "Teenage Dream" video in a Tuesday Instagram post.

He claimed that he and a friend arrived at Moonlight Rollerway in Los Angeles to meet with Perry and her friends one evening after the music video dropped. Things didn't go as planned for Kloss, however, after Perry reportedly pulled Kloss's "sweats and underwear out as far as she could to show a couple of her guy friends and the crowd around us" his genitals.

In the post, which has attracted much attention, Kloss wrote, "You know. After I met Katy, we sang a worship song, 'open the eyes of my heart.' She was cool and kind. When other people were around she was cold as ice even called the act of kissing me 'gross' to the entire set while filming."

Kloss said that he took the behavior, as he had no choice but to support his toddler daughter.

"Now I was pretty embarrassed but kept giving my all, as my ex was busy cheating on me and my daughter was just a toddler, I knew I had to endure for her sake," he continued. "After the first day of shooting, Katy invited me to a strip club in Santa Barbara. I declined and told her 'I have to go back to hotel and rest, because this job is all I have right now.'"

The male model said that he visited Perry a couple of times after her breakup with British comedian and actor, Russell Brand. Perry and Brand were previously married, and in a relationship from 2009 to 2011.

"This one time I brought a friend who was dying to meet her," Kloss continued. "It was Johny Wujek's [former creative consultant for 'America's Next Top Model']birthday party at moonlight roller way. And when I saw her, we hugged and she was still my crush. But as I turned to introduce my friend, she pulled my Adidas sweats and underwear out as far as she could to show a couple of her guy friends and the crowd around us, my penis."

"Can you imagine how pathetic and embarrassed i felt?" he continued. "I just say this now because our culture is set on proving men of power are perverse. But females with power are just as disgusting."

Kloss alleged that Perry's team only paid him $650 for the music video shoot, and that the team even reportedly censored interviews about the pop star after the hit song was released.

"I continued to watch her use clips of her music videos for her world tour and then her dvd, only highlighting one of her male co-stars, and it was me," he explained. "I made around 650 in total off of teenage dream. I was lorded over by her reps, about not discussing a single thing about anything regarding Katy publicly. And a couple interviews they edited and answered for me."

Kloss added, "[H]appy anniversary to one of the most confusing, assaulting, and belittling jobs I've ever done. Yay #teenagedream."

Kloss claimed that he'd planned to sing the song and play the accompanying tune on ukulele to celebrate the song's 10-year anniversary, but ultimately decided he wouldn't.

"I was actually gonna play the song and sing it on ukele [sic] for the anniversary, but then as I was tuning I thought, f*** this, I'm not helping her bs image another second," he concluded.

Multiple outlets have indicated that they reached out to Perry for comment, but did not receive a response. TheBlaze has also reached out to Perry's representatives for comment on this story.

What else?

This isn't the first time Perry has been under fire for acting in an untoward manner toward men.

In 2018, Perry — then an "American Idol" judge — forced herself on a young male contestant, kissing him, despite his proclamation that he wanted his very first kiss to be with someone special; someone with whom he was in a relationship.

Benjamin Glaze, 19 years old at the time and from a conservative family, auditioned for the show in hopes of becoming a recording artist. Perry, who was aware of his romantic intentions involving kissing, demanded he kiss her even though he said he couldn't kiss someone without being in a relationship with them.

He later told The New York Times that he was not happy with the way things turned out on the show.

"I wanted to save [my first kiss] for my first relationship," he told the outlet. "I wanted it to be special."

He explained his position and said, "Would I have done it if she said, 'Would you kiss me?' No, I would have said no."

"I know a lot of guys would be like, 'Heck yeah!' but for me, I was raised in a conservative family and I was uncomfortable immediately," he said.

Perry has never publicly apologized to Glaze.
