Transsexual teacher with giant fake breasts put on leave after education minister blasts school board for 'failing to put interests and safety of students first'

Kids at a Halton District high school outside Toronto, Canada, no longer have to navigate around the transsexual teacher notorious for wearing massive fake breasts to class, as he has been placed on paid leave.

The Toronto Sun reported that as of Tuesday, Kerry Lemieux, who calls himself Kayla, is no longer teaching at Oakville Trafalgar High School. The decision comes several months after Lemieux came to industrial arts class wearing a wig, lipstick, and fake breasts with pronounced nipples.

"While not currently on an active assignment, the teacher remains employed with the HDSB (Halton District School Board)," said Heather Francey, a spokesman for the board.

This greatly delayed decision comes after Education Minister Stephen Lecce of the Progressive Conservative Party, along with Halton Region provincial parliamentarians Natalie Pierre, Stephen Crawford, and Effie Triantafilopoulos excoriated the school board, claiming it "abdicated its responsibility by failing to put the interests and safety of students first."

Despite Lemieux's ousting, the school board noted, "We continue to support the teacher in partnership with OSSTF (Ontario Secondary School Teacher’s Federation)."

The Toronto Sun suggested it was ironic that a picture of Lemieux "dressed as a man — not ones of the shop instructor clothed as a busty woman ... led to that person‘s departure from the classroom."

Parents and students have long protested Lemieux's hypersexualized costume and his choice to wear it around children.

On Wednesday, one mother blasted the Halton District School Board at a board of trustees meeting, stating, "Parents and schools alike teach children about the importance of boundaries and consent. Boundaries define professionalism in the education system and must be upheld for all in order to restore public trust."

The mother's speech was well received, drawing applause from others apparently in agreement that certain boundaries had been crossed.

TheBlaze previously reported that images taken by the New York Post appeared to show a slovenly Lemieux, without his fake breasts, dressed in men's clothing.

Lemieux denied that the photos captured were of him, claiming that his prosthetic breasts were in fact "real" and enlarged as the result of a condition "classified as gigantomastia, which can also be referred to as macromastia or breast hypertrophy."

The now-ousted teacher stressed that he didn't want the man in the pictures "being thrown all over the media."

Lemieux's neighbor told the Post, "He wears prosthetic breasts extremely infrequently. ... He puts the breasts on to teach, occasionally when he goes for a walk or when the cops visit."

Fox News Digital reported that when prompted on Jan. 3 to develop a policy to ensure "appropriate and professional standards of dress and decorum in the classroom," the school district's director of education, Curtis Ennis, intimated that the determinations would be largely left up to leftist advisers.

Ennis said, "The HDSB’s commitment to human rights remains rooted in our core values and commitment to each and every student and staff who identifies as a member of an underserved and underrepresented group, and our approach is informed by opinions from leading employment law firms with human rights and equity advisors."
