Pres. Trump lashes out at 'crazy' Nancy Pelosi, and she jabs back with this mocking statement

President Donald Trump lashed out at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her account of their failed meeting on infrastructure, and she responded with a snarky mocking statement soon afterward.

"She's a mess, look, let's face it, she doesn't understand it," the president said to reporters about Pelosi. "And they sort of feel she's disintegrating before their eyes. She does not understand it."

The feud has escalated over actions taken by Democrats in Congress to further investigate the president over Russian interference in the 2016 election and suspicions of financial misdeeds in the president's business dealings.

"She said I walked into the room right next door yesterday, and walked in and started screaming and yelling, just the opposite, just the opposite," he continued.

"Because I know that they will always say that, even if it didn't happen, because this happened once before, I walked out, I was so calm," he explained.

"You all saw me at a news conference later, I was extremely calm," Trump said. "I was probably even more so in that room."

Trump went on to say that Pelosi was acting "crazy" and waving her arms during the meeting.

Pelosi responded in a tweet mocking the president.

"When the 'extremely stable genius' starts acting more presidential, I'll be happy to work with him on infrastructure, trade and other issues," she wrote.

She also said earlier on Thursday that she hoped that his family would stage an intervention for him.
