WATCH: Far-left protesters interrupt Trump speech to GOP Jewish Coalition — then he fires back from podium

The crowd erupted in applause

Shortly after President Donald Trump began his speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas Saturday, anti-Trump demonstrators interrupted the president to protest Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

Then Trump fired back from his lectern.

What happened?

Just minutes into Trump's speech, the protesters, wielding anti-Israel signs, interrupted the president.

"Jews are here to say, the Occupation is a plague. Jews are here to say, white nationalism is a plague," the protesters shouted.

Those in the crowd, who were Trump supporters and pro-Israel Americans, immediately began booing the demonstrators, even shouting over them to drown out their protest, chanting in unison "USA!" and "four more years!"

After about one minute, Trump finally spoke up.

"He's gone back home to mommy. He will be reprimanded," Trump said of one protester who was led out by security.

The crowd erupted in applause at Trump's quip.

The protesters were associated with progressive advocacy group IfNotNow. The group has three stated goals, according to its website: "Stop the War on Gaza, End the Occupation, and Freedom and Dignity for All."

"We took action today two weeks before the Jewish holiday of Passover, when Jews are commanded to remember the bitterness of slavery and our own oppression. Trump is a modern-day Pharaoh, and IfNotNow calls on our community to reject the plagues of Occupation and white nationalism," the group said in a statement.

"RJC's embrace of Trump and Netanyahu goes against the Jewish moral tradition by giving political cover to their racist, violent agendas — which are a threat to people around the world and to the future of the American Jewish community," the statement continued.
