WH reporter: Trump assistant was ousted for bragging, gossiping about his daughters

She bragged she had a better relationship with the president than his own daughters do

On Wednesday's episode of "America with Eric Bolling," Eric spoke with Politico White House reporter Dan Lippman about longtime personal assistant to President Donald Trump, Madeleine Westerhout, who abruptly left her job last week after reportedly leaking personal details during an "off-the-record" dinner with reporters.

After having "too much to drink," Westerhout claimed that the president doesn't like to be photographed with his daughter, Tiffany Trump, because he "thinks she's overweight," and then bragged that she [Westerhout] had a better relationship with President Trump than either of his own daughters do, Lippman explained.

Eric asked if it is customary for high-level officials, such as the personal assistant to the president, to have dinner and drinks with reporters.

Lippman assured him that it is a "commonplace thing that White House officials always do," adding "hopefully this doesn't hurt journalists getting off-the-record dinners."
