WATCH: Texas National Guard finally shuts FLOODGATE for illegal migrants — then Biden's Border Patrol shows up
August 19, 2022
'Unbelievable'
Drone video footage posted on social media by Fox News' Bill Melugin captured the moment Border Patrol agents arrive on the scene after the Texas National Guard closed and locked a gate at a "major crossing area" for illegal migrants on the Texas-Mexico border.
"For the first time, we witnessed the TX National Guard close & lock a gate on private property at a major crossing area in Eagle Pass, denying entry to migrants who just crossed illegally & expected to be let in. Border Patrol then came w/ a key & let them in for processing," Melugin captioned the first of three videos.
“NEW: For the first time, we witnessed the TX National Guard close & lock a gate on private property at a major crossing area in Eagle Pass, denying entry to migrants who just crossed illegally & expected to be let in. Then the Border Patrol arrived, unlocked the gate, and held it open to let the group of illegal migrants in "for processing."
“This was the moment Border Patrol arrived with the key and let the migrants in. The landowner allows both TX DPS/National Guard and Border Patrol to work here. The gate has always been left open in the past. TX is now closing it, & migrants have to wait for BP to be let in.”— Bill Melugin (@Bill Melugin) 1660758167
Melugin said Border Patrol agents opening gates for illegal immigrants is nothing new.
"What’s new is TX is now closing the gate & denying entry at this major crossing location. Always open in months past, including this video I shot in May," he wrote.
“Border Patrol opening gates etc to allow migrants in is not new. They have to process migrants on U.S. soil per federal law. What’s new is TX is now closing the gate & denying entry at this major crossing location. Always open in months past, including this video I shot in May.”— Bill Melugin (@Bill Melugin) 1660758167
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) accused "Biden’s open border policies" of causing "this crisis."
“Unbelievable.

While Texas secures the border, the federal government is enabling illegal immigration.

Biden’s open border policies caused this crisis.

The federal government must do its job & fix it.”— Greg Abbott (@Greg Abbott) 1660765776
Abbott has been bussing migrants to Democrat-run "sanctuary cities." New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) and Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) have accused the Texas governor of "cruel political gamesmanship" and "hateful politics," while complaining that their cities are being overrun with thousands of migrants. Meanwhile, sources say more than 2 million “migrant encounters” have been recorded so far this year, up from the previous record of 1,277,177 this time last year.
“BREAKING: CBP sources say migrant encounters this FY22 so far surpassed 2,001,034 - a NEW RECORD set this past weekend and a milestone never before seen in history - this compared to last year's record setting numbers which were 1,277,177 at this point in FY21 @CBP @FoxNews”— Griff Jenkins (@Griff Jenkins) 1660740419
On "The News & Why It Matters," BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales and guests discussed the eye-opening video footage and ask, "will the Biden administration ever admit this is an 'open border'?"
