Whoopi Goldberg has used her platform on "The View" to preach what seems to be her own version of the Bible.
On last Thursday’s showing of "The View," Goldberg let it be known that apparently, her version of the Bible sanctions the medical gender-transition of minors.
“This is a party that says, ‘We believe in parents' rights.’ You’re telling me that as a parent ... I’m not smart enough to decide if my child and I need to have gender-affirming [care], or doctors are not involved” Goldberg rants.
“I can’t decide what my kid reads; I can’t decide for my child what my child says is going on.”
She continues, “You’re telling me your beliefs … and they keep saying it, and I keep saying, ‘What Bible are you reading? Because God was really clear!’”
To many critics of Whoopi’s rant, it is unclear how God was clear about this.
Dave Rubin didn’t find her rant quite charming either.
Before airing the clip of Goldberg, Rubin mocked her and the show she co-hosts.
“Here is someone on ‘The View’ saying something most likely racist, bigoted, homophobic, transphobic, or just generally stupid,” he says.
