FLASHBACK: Ricky Gervais ROASTS Apple CEO Tim Cook to his face: 'Thank your God and f*** off'
December 02, 2022
This one NEVER gets old
On "The Rubin Report" this week, BlazeTV host Dave Rubin shared a vintage clip that has aged like fine wine of Ricky Gervais roasting Apple CEO Tim Cook over his hypocritical virtue-signaling during the 2020 Golden Globe Awards.
“Apple roared into the TV game with 'The Morning Show,' a superb drama, yeah," Gervais began as the cameras cut to a smiling Cook.
"A superb drama about dignity and doing the right thing, made by a company that runs sweatshops in China,” he added.
"So, you say you're woke, but the companies you work for, I mean, unbelievable. Apple, Amazon, Disney, if ISIS started a streaming service, you'd call your agent, wouldn't you?" he continued, expanding his focus to include most celebrities and liberal elites.
“So, if you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a platform to make a political speech, right? You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg. So if you win, come up, accept your little award, thank your agent and your God, and f*** off."
Cook has been under fire recently for allegedly threatening to remove Twitter from its App Store even as his company uses its massive influence to help the Chinese Communist Party quash protests against Xi Jinping’s draconian COVID policies.
