Washington Gov. Jay Inslee explained that under his administration, "We would address the root causes of immigration, one of which is that we have climate refugees now because the climate crisis is making Central America uninhabitable for large parts of people."

Former Housing Secretary Julian Castro stated that he believed in "reproductive justice."

"What that means is that a woman, and let's also not forget about those in the trans community, is poor doesn't mean they should not have the right to exercise that right to choose," Castro said.
