Drivers Dial 911 After Seeing This Decal Depicting Kidnapped Woman on the Road

A decal created by a Texas sign company is drawing controversy and even resulting in some 911 calls.

The sticker, designed to be placed on a truck’s tailgate, portrays a woman bound and tied up with rope.

For about a month, the decal, created by “Hornet Signs,” has been emblazoned on an employee’s truck, and has apparently tricked many on the road into thinking an actual woman is lying in the back of the truck in distress.

Many individuals have dialed 911 to summon authorities after seeing the decal on the road, according to KWTX.

The owner of Hornet Signs says he wasn’t expecting such a reaction, however.

“I wasn’t expecting the reactions we got, nor do we condone this by any means,” Brad Kolb said.

“It was more or less something we put out there to see who noticed it,” he added.

Since the controversy, the owner adds he has seen an influx in sales.
