Top Hillary Clinton aide has been given an ultimatum, according to New York magazine: Leave sexting husband Anthony Weiner or leave the Clinton camp.

“Huma has a choice to make,” a close associate told the magazine, as reported in the New York Post. “Does she go with Anthony, or does she go with Hillary?”
New York magazine adds that Abedin’s dilemma is “the biggest question among Hillary’s circle” as the former Secretary of State weighs a possible 2016 White House campaign.

The Clinton camp was unhappy to say the least over the recent Weiner sexting scandal and reportedly cautioned Abedin to distance herself from her husband as he ran a failed bid for the New York City mayoral seat.
In July Weiner’s sexting scandal was in full bloom as he admitted to engaging in online sexting with “six to 10″ women during his time in Congress — plus three more after his 2011 resignation.
Abedin at first stood with Weiner as he spoke about his actions but soon did what the Clinton camp asked and ended her campaigning for him.
She didn’t accompany her husband to the polls on election day, and was reportedly hunkered down with friends in the Hamptons as Weiner went down in flames when the results came in, the Post says.
“Abedin has struggled to reconcile her marriage to Weiner with her role as Clinton’s top aide, traumatized by the prospect of leaving her boss’ inner circle,” the magazine reports, citing a person familiar with the situation.
