A Texas woman lost her job this week after the hospital she worked for discovered a controversial Facebook post she made that some and called racist.
“The police need to just start mowing them down with machine guns, purge them,” the unidentified woman wrote on her personal Facebook page.
That comment didn’t sit well with some people.
“Very racist,” one man, who didn’t want to be identified, told KHOU-TV. “I was highly offended.”

He soon learned the woman worked at Memorial Hermann Southeast hospital.
“It shouldn’t be tolerated when you’re a professional,” he told the Houston outlet. “A hospital is a place where you’re supposed to have compassion upon people of all races.”
The post gained traction and was eventually shared multiple times until the hospital learned about it and took immediate action.
“People were pretty upset about it,” the man told KHOU.
The hospital fired the woman, calling it “offensive” and alerting the public she had been laid off through twitter.
A non-nurse employee posted an offensive comment. MH absolutely disagrees with that post. We have a 107yr history of serving everyone.
