Another Embarrassing Mistake? Take a Look at What CNN Broadcast at 3 A.M.

It hasn’t been a good 24 hours for CNN’s coverage of the horrific terror attack at a Jerusalem synagogue that left three dual Israeli-American citizens and one British-Israeli citizen dead.

Not only was the network skewered for running a headline that said, “4 Israelis, 2 Palestinians killed in synagogue attack” (the Palestinians being the attackers), it’s emerged that in the wee hours of the morning, CNN ran a graphic that said the attack happened at a “Jerusalem mosque.”

The mistake aired during the network’s 3:43 a.m. ET report on the attack:

To be fair, the anchors were referring to it as a synagogue, and by 4 a.m. ET, the network had changed the graphic to something different. But it still gives the network a black eye after already suffering a punch to the gut for its earlier coverage.

“CNN made a mistake in its caption of where the terrorist attack took place,” a network spokesperson told TheBlaze in an email. “It was pulled as soon as we recognized it, and we regret the error.”
