Hillary Clinton received a “troubling” classified email that traversed though her private server, according to an email released by the State Department Wednesday.
The email was almost entirely redacted because it contained classified information, but an aide to the former secretary of state described it as “troubling” in an email to her.
The email had a subject line of “New York mtgs” and was sent in January 2011. Clinton wasn’t included on the initial email, but had the contents forwarded to her by Deputy Chief of Staff Jacob Sullivan.
The heavily redacted email was part of a new batch released by the State Department Wednesday.
