Revealed: Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly Explains Why He Chose to Vacation in Cuba

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly traveled to Cuba last week – and now his viewers know why.

It was widely speculated that O’Reilly, who was on vacation last week, had made a trip to the island nation. But a network spokeswoman would not confirm at the time if the reports were true.

On Monday night, however, O’Reilly shared with his viewers that he did indeed visit Cuba for part of his week-long vacation – and revealed why he chose to do so.

“I want to tell Bernie Sanders and the millions who are voting for him what I saw,” O’Reilly said in his Personal Story segment.

The cable news host went on to describe an “anti-government protest” that took place while he was there, which most Cubans never even knew about because the government controls most mass communication.

O’Reilly pointed out that Cubans are paid not by employers or by their own businesses, but by the “enormous central government.” As a result, Cubans live under “crushing poverty,” bringing home only about $24 per month.

“Socialism never works, and Bernie Sanders needs to go to Cuba and take witness,” O’Reilly said.

“There’s no incentive to succeed in Cuba,” O’Reilly said, while adding, “only Capitalism can rescue Cuba.”
