Stunning: Mainstream Media push ‘impeachment’ narrative in wake of 'not accurate' BuzzFeed report

An indictment against the mainstream media

If the mainstream media's anti-Trump bias was not already clear, maybe this will convince you: After BuzzFeed released a sketchy report last Thursday alleging President Donald Trump urged Michael Cohen to lie to investigators, hosts and talking heads on CNN and MSNBC used the word "impeachment" more than 100 times.

From the Daily Caller:

According to a Daily Caller review of TV clipping service Grabien, personalities on CNN and MSNBC used the words “Impeach," “Impeachment," or “Impeachable," 179 times.

CNN mentioned impeachment 82 times while MSNBC mentioned it a whopping 97 times.

That was on Friday alone, and doesn't include the immediate hours on Thursday evening after BuzzFeed published its "bombshell" report.

Meanwhile, as the mainstream media pushed its narrative, special counsel Robert Mueller was meeting with his team to craft a public statement denouncing BuzzFeed's story, an unprecedented step for Mueller. Eventually, more than 20 hours after BuzzFeed published its report, Mueller characterized the allegations as "not accurate."

As the Daily Caller noted, some of the "impeachment" references were direct while others hedged that impeachment could be a possibility if the BuzzFeed report was correct.
