Disgraced cop who stood outside during Parkland massacre receives $8,702-a-month pension

Disgraced Broward County deputy Scot Peterson began receiving a sizable pension in the amount of $8,702 per month this April and will continue receiving it for the rest of his life.

Peterson retired three months after the largest mass shooting in modern U.S. history and was heavily criticized for inaction during the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Video footage revealed Peterson never entered the building while students were under attack but instead of facing termination, Peterson chose to retire on Feb.23. This allowed Peterson to receive a monthly pension of $8,702.35 per month, however, if he is criminally charged by the state of Florida, his pension will be reduced to nil.

Andrew Pollack whose daughter was slain has already named Peterson in a wrongful death lawsuit according to Fox News.
