LISTEN: Glenn Beck recalls hateful leftist assault against family, warns: 'It's only getting worse

On Monday’s episode of “The Glenn Beck Radio Program,” Glenn recalled a harrowing incident in which his family was assaulted and threatened by a mob of angry leftists in a park in New York.

"I for one, am so sick and tired of hearing from the left that 'oh my gosh, they've never experience hatred like this,'" Glenn said. "Nobody said a word when my family was assaulted in a park in New York. No one said a word."

A few years ago, Glenn took his wife, his daughter, and her then-fiancé to see a Hitchcock film in the park. What started out as an innocent family excursion soon turned into the stuff of nightmares.

"I just thought it was going be fine," Glenn said. "I assumed that everybody was human still. Well, not in New York."

After having wine thrown on them by a group of hecklers, Glenn's wife and daughter were shouted down, called "racists," "bigots," and "haters."

"Fingers were pointed and thrust into their chests. [They said,] 'We don't want your hate here, we don't want your kind here,'" Glenn recalled. "My daughter was already in tears. She didn't know what to do when the security agents arrived and pulled them both into the car."

"So please, leftists, CNN, don't tell me how hard your life is," Glenn continued. "What's happening to Tucker Carlson is not an isolated incident. It's been happening from the left for a very long time and it goes beyond mean tweets. Your family is in danger and it's only getting worse."

Glenn noted that he would be deeply ashamed to know that anyone in his audience treated people that way. "My audience wouldn't do that," he said. "It's one of the reasons why we did 'Restoring Love.' I wanted to see a big huge crowd fill Dallas Cowboys' stadium at treat people with respect. To come together and be good and serve one another and serve the community. The press seems to miss all of that."
