Trey Gowdy lambastes Peter Strzok in fiery showdown: 'I don't give a damn what you appreciate
July 13, 2018
Peter Strzok went toe to toe with outspoken and passionate Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy during a hearing before the oversite and judiciary committee on Thursday. Strzok is under intense scrutiny regarding his anti-Trump text messages between him and Lisa Paige during the 2016 presidential election.
The purpose of the hearing is to determine if Strzok was booted from the Russia investigation over his apparent anti-Trump bias. Strzok claimed he was removed from the investigation over an “appearance” not his “bias” which many believe to be the case.
When Strzok voiced that he didn’t appreciate the accusation, Gowdy responded the way Gowdy always does.
“I don’t give a damn what you appreciate, Agent Strzok.”
Pat praised Gowdy for his response but felt that Republicans might have taken things too far.
Here's everything you need to know about the former FBI agent's congressional hearing.
