Wisconsin Democrat running for governor breastfeeds in new ad and talks banning BPA

A new state political ad is getting national attention for normalizing a breastfeeding mom who happens to be running for governor.

How do you feel about public breastfeeding? Jeffy and Kris weren’t sure what to think while watching the ad on today’s show.

Kelda Roys is one of the Democratic gubernatorial candidates vying to run against Republican Gov. Scott Walker ahead of Wisconsin’s elections for governor and lieutenant governor in November.

In her new ad, Roys casually takes her crying 4-month-old from her husband and starts breastfeeding while continuing to talk about her fight against BPA, a controversial chemical that has been used in baby bottles and sippy cups.
