Sean Hannity has a theory about what the latest Mueller investigation development really means

What did he say?

Writing on his personal Twitter account Friday, Fox News host Sean Hannity offered a theory about what he believes is really behind Friday's report at CNN that said FBI special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation had yielded its first indictment.

Hannity suggested that Mueller and the media are "working hand in hand" on the story and that CNN's report was a mere distraction to cover up a horrible week for Democrats and Mueller.

Is there any evidence to back Hannity's claims?

Circling back to Hannity's claim that the media and Mueller are working in tandem, there is the theory that the grand jury's indictment was leaked to CNN.

A CNN reporter admitted on the network Friday night that in typical cases, the person being indicted and their counsel are quickly informed of the indictment. However, according to the reporter, the person who will have criminal charges filed against them didn't yet know of the grand jury's decision. CNN merely said "sources" informed them of the indictment. The source, then, must have been very close to the Mueller investigation.
