Keith Olbermann says he owes George W. Bush an apology for a surprising reason

Keith Olbermann told the ladies of "The View" that he probably owed former President George W. Bush an apology for a surprising reason.

Here's the video of the interaction:

What did he say exactly?

Olbermann compared what Bush did to what current President Trump has done, and said that by comparison the latter has been much worse than the former.

"In retrospect, based on what we've seen in the past two years in this country, I owe him an apology, I probably owe George W. Bush an apology," Olbermann said.

"Shut up," Meghan McCain responded.

"And I would happily take a third term of George W. Bush rather than this. That's how serious I think it is," Olbermann added.

During his tenure as a host on MSNBC, Olbermann accused Bush of being a war criminal, liar, traitor and fascist, all things he is now accusing Trump of being.

Olbermann had been defending a tweet wherein he posited that Trump had done more damage to the United States than Osama Bin Laden and ISIS combined.

"Why do you separate yourself from the terrorists, Dondi?" he said. "You and your family have done more damage to America than Bin Laden + ISIS combined."

While Meghan McCain objected to the heated rhetoric, she seemed to appreciate Olbermann paying respect to her father, Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.).
