America and the world are paying a steep price for the election and re-election of Barack Obama.
His administration has become synonymous with a lack of leadership and inattention. Everywhere Americans look we see the problems that have dogged America in the past mushroom into full-blown crises in the era of Obama.
From foreign policy to the fight against radicalized Islamic fundamentalists, from the borders, to Obamacare, it's clear that a community organizer's grasp of government and foreign policy was the last thing the United States and the globe needed in one of the more pivotal times in history.
I spoke with Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) this weekend. (cue to 1:22:20) He's promoting a new book, "The Way Forward, Renewing the American Idea." Ryan has observed that people within Obama's own administration are staking out positions dedicated to the DEFEAT of the jihadist army of the Islamic State.

Meanwhile, Obama has made America's official policy reflect his desire to see the Islamic State, "contained."
After addressing the press twice, during his vacation on Martha's vineyard, Resident Obama made a beeline for the golf course. America was treated to photos of Obama yucking it up on the links moments after decrying Islamic State butchers beheading of an American journalist. These images gave us a real sense of how seriously our alleged leader was taking the brutal execution of an American citizen on video.
It's also fair to point out that the Islamic State is creating its own state, erasing the borders of Syria and Iraq, stealing millions, arming, and slaughtering thousands. The Islamic State is so brutal that it is killing some children by jamming a crucifix into slit throats. All of this comes from an army of extremists that Obama called the "jayvee" team.
In an era where the occupier of the Oval Office puts Hamas and Israel on equal footing; where Russia can invade and steal land from another sovereign nation without America taking a strong stand against it; where chaos reigns in Libya and Egypt courtesy of misguided U.S. priorities; Paul Ryan's vision of a renewed America is not only longed for but desperately needed.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry said he couldn't rule out incursions into the U.S. by terrorists through our southern border.
The truth is we don't know. I also talked with Ryan about this issue. On one hand Team Obama says we are powerless to stop thousands of children crossing into America illegally. On the other hand they'd like us to believe that Al Qaeda or other terror groups couldn't possibly make it across our porous southern border.
The lack of enforcement on our southern border has been a problem that spans nearly a half century and crosses political party lines, fingering those responsible for not doing the work required to solve the problem.
But as with most things in the era of Obama, lack of attention and wrong-headed polices have turned a problem into a full-blown humanitarian crisis. Let's set aside the financial destruction that will be imposed on America as the Wilberforce Law is abused, enabling any child from around the globe entry with a simple proclamation of need or abuse.
Let's look at the human toll. America doesn't have the ability to house, screen, and process the world's youth. The conditions in our detention facilities can be deplorable. They resemble indoor dog runs. Mass graves are being filled with the bodies of children whose parents believed Obama's defacto Dream Act, end-run around Congress, applied to them.
We can also examine the "solutions" being implemented by Team Obama in an effort to cover up yet another one of their screw ups.

The Virginia Department of Education is conspiring with Obama's federal government to classify illegal immigrant children as, "homeless," in an effort to bypass all of that pesky paperwork like residency verification and immunization confirmation. You know, all that delightful bureaucracy we citizens must partake in.
The illegals, in an effort to erase the negative press from the afore mentioned deplorable housing conditions, are to be moved to suites complete with: bunk beds, play tables, flat-screen TVs and telephones.
Also, Obama's team of extremist left-wingers says it will pay over $7,000 a month to anyone who will house six illegal immigrant children. When was the last time YOUR government said it would direct $7,000 tax payer dollars to pay Americans for adopting and caring for American children in need of a home?
We need a leader who believes in our nation's founding principles and who has America's best interest at heart. It's unfortunate that America's first black president had other plans. Many of us had hoped for better.
Indeed, if the first black president had been a conservative like Condi Rice or Benjamin Carson, we likely would have had a better outcome. Instead, we got Obama. We got a man who has tried to turn the U.S. presidency into what he covets.
We've seen parties thrown at the White House, attended by elites in Hollywood and music. We've seen fundraising in the face of crises. We've seen the never-ending campaign of partisanship and division. And we've seen opulent vacations while Americans struggle in a lackluster recovery.
Obama sees his job as being an effort to "pay back" the nation that elected him. He wants to bring America down to the level of the rest of the globe in an effort to make people like us.
Obama just tees off and lets events unfold.
Under Obama, America no longer shapes events. Instead, Resident Obama is Play-Doh in the hands of despots, dictators and terrorists. Alas, we are stuck with this extremist liberal Democrat for another two years.
Who knows how many more crises he will create from intent or indifference?
