Letter from Glenn Beck: Does the Truth Live in Your House?
Does the truth live in your house?
Unless you have DISH Network, probably not.
Why? Because TheBlaze is not yet available on any other TV provider’s channel lineup.
But you can help change that.
For the last 18 months, we’ve been building a new kind of television network from the ground up, a network with world-class news and entertainment that stands up for freedom, faith and family values.
If that sounds like a channel you’d like to have as part of your TV subscription then please call your operator right away and let them know. Click HERE to find the contact information for your TV provider.
Are you on the phone yet?
Yes. Thank you! You are making a real difference.
No. Please keep reading.
You probably pay good money every month to your TV provider for access to channels like MSNBC and Al Jazeera America—channels that you might not watch, or even agree with. Adding TheBlaze will ensure that you and your family have a source of news and analysis that you can trust and that doesn’t betray your values.
This journey for truth that we are on is much bigger than you and I; the future of liberty is hanging in the balance. All of us have a choice to make: sit on the sideline, or get involved.
If we succeed then we change the media. If we change the media, we control the debate. If we control the debate, we change politics.
And if we change politics, we change the country.
Since no letter from me would be complete without a quote from a Founder, here’s one that I think says a lot about the current state of our media:
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
– John Adams, October 1798
What news channel currently on your TV lives up to that standard?
I don’t believe one exists, and that’s why we started TheBlaze. I am so proud of what we’ve already accomplished—from the talented hosts and analysts who’ve joined us, to the world-class programs we produce every day—but we need your help to break through the logjam and expose this network to millions of others.
It’s all up to you. Many people are willing to let others decide which media companies are going to set the agenda in America. I’ve literally bet everything I have that you are not one of them.
Please contact your TV provider today and tell them you want TheBlaze.
Laus Deo,
Editor’s note: TheBlaze is offering tools to help you contact your TV provider, including a special phone line 1-800-996-BLAZE, and a new website, www.GetTheBlaze.com, that will directly connect you with your provider so you can make your choice known.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 11:26pmSerious question here; does GB now believe he is one of the apostle’s of the Mormons? Seriously. I don’t give a $%%# what you conspiracy nutters think about me. I’ve been one of GB’s biggest fans since 9\11 and cannot figure out what has happened to this man. If you’ve been listening and\or watching as long as I have then you know exactly what I am talking about.
Maybe all the $$ changed him. But he’s become this televangelist type, self important talking head, doing some mental roller coaster of fear and sunshine in a vicious cycle. I’m not saying you still don’t have lots of good things to say but Glenn you was the man back in the day, funny as hell, and so much truth and insight. Go back to radio only dude. Stop worrying about everyone else and find yourself.

I have The Blaze, & bought it for my mother. As a homecare giver I have gotten many onto the truth with NO agenda. As I go through my daily life so many patients are wanting to recieve it. I have made calls galore…. 18889440447 or 18005747024 or 18002220800 etc…. Some are nonexsistant # others say I need to call another #. BUT perserverience prevails.. Got 3 leaving Comcast & going DISH… And when I get off I will purchase a early x-mas gift of a subscription for my friend.. Thanks Glenn for all you do. I have also contacted Dish as to dropping MB stations like MSNBC, CURRENT & NBC. “TRUTH HAS NO AGENDA”

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 4:16pmMan, you criticize Glenn Beck and all of a sudden you’re labeled a potential Soros operative? Maybe Glenn really is the next Walt Disney, because he’s got all his followers living in Fantasyland. I happened to listen to Beck for years when he was here in Tampa, but I just can’t take it anymore. I can’t take the fear-mongering, paranoia, “the sky is falling”, drama, et al and the opportunistic manner in which Glenn rakes in the greenbacks off of everybody he’s stirred up into a fearful frenzy… some of whom I know and love. I also can’t take the fact that you can’t criticize him at all without being labeled a villain in some conspiracy to destroy Beck. You know, I went to a church when I was younger where the pastor was held in eerily the same regard you die hard Beck fans hold Glenn… you couldn’t criticize or question without the pastor and all who were in blind allegiance discrediting you as a heretical backslider who must not really be right with God… and you know what? I eventually came to the realization that it was a CULT.

1) Does the TheBlazeTV channel (via DISH) provides archived shows?
2) Does the TheBlazeTV channel (via DISH) provides closed caption?

I switched from the Blaze on computer to DISH. The answer is, “No”, you can’t get the archives like you could on the internet subscription. I found this to be a HUGE bummer because my family loves “Independence USA” and would often re-watch the episodes.
I guess you could pay for both if you have the extra cash. We just can’t–we’ve had to make a ton of cuts over the years as the economy has gone from bad to worse. I’m a homeschooler and we have lived on 1 income for many years now. The cuts are worth it to be able to continue to homeschool though, so I’m not complaining.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 3:25pmThere is no possibility for your cable tv provider to carry theblaze before the end of the year, if not longer. The agreement with Dish Networks won’t allow it.
What Mr. Beck is doing is harvesting phone numbers to sell to telemarketers. Whoever pays for the 800 number is provided a list of these numbers.
By identifying yourself as a Glenn Beck fan you are fitting a demographic that many businesses would like to target.
Mr. Beck told Brian Stelter of the New York Times that the economics of getting a fraction of a $5 monthly fee is a better deal than getting a $9.95 monthly fee. Only in Glenn Beck land.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 5:59pmI think you’re failing to consider that being on multiple platforms will allow more people to discover this new network. Another problem, especially in heavily urbanized areas, that internet TV is far less efficient than over the air or satellite TV. The amount of bandwidth needed for 10,000 people in a square mile or two all watching on their iPhones or iPads in places like Cleveland or DC is staggering. especially if they’re all watching something different.
Too bad Glenn’s not likely to allow terrestrial stations to carry it. I don’t have cable or satellite- couldn’t afford the expense. I’ve got to get mine via the net.

This is the same sort of left-wing tactic used against people who disagree with homosexuality by calling them “homophobes”. Or against people who want to defend in the right to bear arms by calling them “paranoid”.
Glenn certainly has good qualities, but IMO there’s plenty worth criticising as well. Sadly, it seems the typical Beck follower will defend him with a religious zeal and jump right to the smear tactic as you seem to have done.
I mean look at your own comment…
“If you’re effort is meant to take people away from this site and Glenn…”
Take people away from Glenn? Huh? These are the words people used by people who follow a cult leader. If you are so protective of Glenn that somone who gives a little criticism is trying to “take people away”, then I think you may need to take a little time and gain some perspective.

It is also important to remember that some of these folks are ‘paid operatives’ – employed by Soros or the administration (is there a difference?) and it is fascinating to see the psychological means they employ to destroy our faith and trust in Glenn.

We live in perilous times – Glenn is a target.
He believes in himself.
He is a slight egomaniac, yes – but you have to be in his business.
I do not fault him for it, nor do I hold him up on a pedestal.
The anonymity if the Internet allows people to assume roles…there may be high ranking officials, or celebrities, or foreign agents who are trying to subvert his cause. And yes, they are professionals who employ psychological tactics.
Someone who disagrees with Glenn is not a troll…someone who visits the site to spew hatred is a troll.
There are those that come here simply to spew against the LDS church…
There are those who poke fun at ‘homophobes’…
There are those that can’t stand the Tea Party or Libertarians.
Sorry if you were offended, but I call it as I see it.

I’m not calling everyone who criticizes a hater. Certainly there are some haters here, and I’m hoping you’d be honest enough to admit that’s true. As you said about yourself, “Maybe I’ve just become too cynical.” Maybe. But there are clearly some trolls here trying to drag the conversation down. I see it all the time on this site. I read a feel good story, and the first comment I read is about how stupid this site is. And then five others pile on with how Glenn is a scary Mormon, and we’re all lemmings or whatever.
Maybe you have grown cynical. No crime in that. Negative feedback is ok. Sometimes I grow cynical too. But when you make comments like this:
“So many Beck followers will be quick to do his bidding. … It seems there are people that are very easily manipulated and the will follow his instruction with a religious fervency. It’s really sad to witness.”
… Really? Is it sad to see fans follow the person they’re a fan of? Especially when they do it because they believe in something. And is what we believe in really that bad? Is his message a bad or destructive one? Whether or not you believe Glenn is sincere (I do) the people behind him are. I’ve met them. And the agenda is a good and healthy one that is needed. Everyone should get behind this message and push it forward. Even cynical people.
And the trolls can keep trolling. No one cares, and they won’t change anything anyway.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 1:42pmI so enjoy reading post from people putting down Glenn Beck and The Blaze. It truly is unfortunate that they dislike Glenn and The Blaze so much but they just have to come here and condemn them. I believe and know without a doubt, there is no other television news station where you can find more truth then you do on The Blaze or from Glenn. Does he lean right, of course, and nothing is wrong with that, other who are left will always lean left. The difference is trying to seek out and tell the truth. I believe Glenn and The Blaze do this more than anyone. Do they or can they make mistakes, of course they can, they are human. Only God is perfect. I won’t put down those who choose to put down The Blaze or Glenn, it isn’t right or the Christian thing to do. The right thing to do is pray for them. An open mind and a willingness to investigate what other report, will always be the best thing. Glenn tells you to do your own research, real research, not the liberal media. I don’t have Dish, I chose to buy a Roku box, so I’ve been watching since he started the new station. I will continue to watch and I will continue to confirm anything I’m in agreement with. Yes, I even watch other news media and I check them out as well. They lean left, that is okay but the main thing, they tend to not tell the truth a lot of times. They definitely don’t tell the truth about this administration most of the time. That is enough of a reason to continue watching Glenn and The Blaze.

I also remember other mornings when all stations, ABC, FOX, HLN & CNN were all airing the exact same news coverage. You would see the same headlines no matter which channel you were on.

Mockery and ridicule, marginalization, demonization, changing the meanings of words… all of these tactics are what he has described the left as using when they know they can’t win the debate, but he does the same thing.
If I should reject those tactics from the left, it would be hypocritical of me to accept them from him or anyone.

You are correct, there was no ad-hominem attack in your post.
I don’t necessarily think his most devoted followers are extreme. I think of them as people begging for someone to speak for them during these odd times. Glenn is speaking for them, he is also giving them the next best thing. A way to take action.
At risk of proving your point – sure, many are stubborn. Every group has followers who prefer to close their minds in order to not be “proven wrong”. Sadly, close mindedness it is more common than not for now anyways.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 11:40amI’d like to ask my cable provider to carry a news outlet with content that was 100% honest without any overly dramatic, sensational embellishments or ads that exclusively fatten the owner’s wallet. Sadly… I haven’t found that yet.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 11:51amGlenn Beck by being a Mormon and a wealthy Mormon that supports the satanic cult of Mormonism with huge amounts of money would not recognize truth.
Truth is a concept that eludes mormons on a grand scale as they go door to door promoting a satanic christ that will be exposed for what it is at the resurrection/rapture http://youtu.be/CBsYDhNxFlU

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 12:21pmOh yeah… and I’d also like said news outlet to ensure they don’t ignore reports that don’t necessarily fit their agenda. You know, Beck makes a lot of accusations of other networks in that regard, however The Blaze does it just as much (i.e., fail to report a positive economic statistic, spin a positive economic statistic as a negative)… all the while drumming up and propogating the actual negative statistics until they’re blue in the face. That creates a good environment to sell a lot of gold coins and $10K dehydrated food rations, but I’d rather there be no agenda. I’m just funny like that…

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 11:06amI support TheBlaze being available in all homes, however, it is a little late for us. We cancelled cable because we did not want to support trash TV while only actually watching a few channels. We have small children and there was just too much garbage and inappropriate commercials. We proudly have TheBlaze on our Roku as well as Netflix and Amazon Prime, etc. One of the best decisions we have made. We watch much less TV now. I will help Glenn’s efforts because more people need the truth!

It isn’t. Neither is the terms “trinity”. These are shorthand terms used to quickly refer to something that is presumably learned from scripture. The fact that the label used isn’t present has no impact on whether or not the teaching is there.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 11:00amOnly in the pervert world of Glenn Beck, could his paranoia and fear filled programs be called the truth. The truth is, the truth has never been welcomed at the Blaze, the truth would sell the sponsors survivalist BS or the scam gold coins. The truth is no where to be found in Beck’s business model. He needs to keep his loyal band of home school dropout misinformed and fearful.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 11:39amEncicom,
You kinda have it backwards there senior. You must just follow along for amusement value? Well good. But ya see, we rural western home schooled bumpkins are not the ones scared. We are prepared for very nearly any eventuality. We can eat for months without benifit of a grocery store, we can heat our homes and feed our animals. We are debt free or working toward that. Fire flood or pestalence, we have the tools and the skills, how bout you?. How is following the old Boy Scout Motto “Be Prepared” a bad thing? But don’t worry, you don’t have to. In fact we’ll protect your right not to be prepared and we have the arms to do it! Why should we be afraid? We carry guns.

From THE REPORTER

Until Glenn Beck RECOGNIZES the birth certificate question as a proven, valid issue and only when he stops making fun of the people that a congressional investigation is needed, will his credibility be restored. When he proclaims “the truth lives here” he’s got to mean it.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 10:20amWhile I am ever so proud to get TheBlaze on Dish, and hope that it grows to astronomic proportions and quickly. I have to ask a question. On TV Glenn regularly says that we must stand. I totally agree. He also says that if we will stand he and theblaz will stand with us. Well, my wife and I ahve stood and have been standing for the fiv years against huge governmental corruption in New Mexico. We have spent ourselves near to bankrupt. We have been threatened both professoinally and personally. Still we stand. And with the exception of congressman Steve Pearce, virtually alone. We have contacted Glenn, Stu, Pat and fredomworks repeatedly. Nada, nothin’. We know how very busy Glenn is putting he Blaze togeatherand we apprecate all he has done and is doing. We can win this one and we will keep fighting, alone if we must. I begin to wonder if Glenn is just another Yangee pilgrim that has no clue about western ways, but he loves our stuff. We don’t want money, we don’t want publicity. We just want somebody to shine the light on the roaches. Glenn said he would stand. Well Glenn, in Cowboy parlance, “If your word’s no good, your no good.”
We have contacted Freedom works as well at Glenns direction and Ms. Cupp at Real New’s. IN order to have honest Govt. We must root out corruption. New Mexico is awash in it and it goes right to the highest levels. We could sure use a hand here.
The corrupt here are arrogant and totally unafraid. They are also dumber than a box o rocks! W

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 10:48amThe truth is not found on the blaze. Beck is a professional liar, who sells fear and paranoia to the ignorant tea party. Beck needs his audience to remain misinformed and under educated so that he can push his brand of sanke oil on them.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 12:35pmI’d imagine his promise to “stand with you” has more to do with keeping you a paying subscriber and purchaser of all the cool survivalist products he pushes. That way, you can thank him for standing with you when the apocalypse comes.

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 10:13amI’m glad The Blaze is available on Dish, I’ve had it for some time. The only problem I see is that the 47% can’t/won’t subscribe if it isn’t free, so it will be hard to reach them.

But it’s a little strange to see “truth” and “Glenn Beck” together in the same message. FAKE-conservative/libertarian, REPUBLICAN Glenn Beck is a walking deception. Everything he does and says… IS THE OPPOSITE OF TRUTH!

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 4:32pmWell Brother, my former neighbor did a one hundred eighty degree left turn after running my stuff on Soros and the federal reserve. That’s what happens when spooky dude calls his friend Murdock and gets your show bounced off of FOX. Since that time he has proven to be a horrible judge of character. His insane rebbe that fed him a steady diet of pure crap from the midrash. His imitation historian that always tries to force a Christian flavor on the founders and Pat Grey. I remember the character assassination of Medina and Paul and the brown nosing of Bachmann and Perry. I come to the Blaze to check for stories that no one else has covered, after visiting Lew Rockwell, Prison Planet, Cato, Breitbart. I got banned at the Hoffpost because the truth not only doesn’t live there but if it shows up they kill it!
Remember people, Mr. Beck is the guy that told you to surrender your weapons when they come for them! Don’t you think he owes you an explanation?
